  • Cultivates strong viewership and engagement as morning co-anchor for Spectrum News 1, North Carolina’s only 24/7 news station

  • Served in various on-air roles over the years, including reporter, weekday morning news anchor, breaking news anchor, and Saturday morning anchor

  • Contributed to the station’s capture of numerous regional and national awards in various medium market (50+) categories

  • Heightened visibility and reach of station by frequently participating as a volunteer in community events and functions

WAFF, Huntsville, Alabama

April 2010 - September 2012

  • Played key role in viewership growth of the station’s morning show as co-anchor of the daily broadcasts

  • Coordinated and performed live shots as a general assignment reporter, mainly covering breaking news and investigative stories

  • Created and introduced popular weekly “Star Student” segment which highlighted contributions of elementary, middle, and high school students within the community.

Savannah- Chatham County Public School System, Savannah,Georgia

August 2009- April 2010

•Served as liaison between Savannah-Chatham County public schools and news media; represented the system as an information liaison to the community at large
•Supervised the production and distribution of news releases and coordinated press conferences, as needed
•Designed system-wide publications including information brochures, calendars, and Board meeting agendas
•Prepared presentations for superintendent and other senior administrators as the system launched its "Passport to Excellence" program

•Collaborated with reporters, photographers, and editors to conceptualize , create, and deliver credible and informative news stories
•Secured external experts, sources, and spokespersons from public and private sectors to support the accurate and comprehensive reporting of complex information
•Performed live shots when warranted, and served as fill-in anchor for evening and weekend broadcasts
